The Green Bay Packers have agreed to trade Brett Favre to the New York Jets.
In return, the Packers will receive a conditional draft pick, depending on how well the Jets finish in 2008. According to the NFL Network, if Favre takes less than 50 percent of the Jets' 2008 snaps, Green Bay gets a fourth-round pick. If he takes over 50 percent of the snaps, it becomes a third rounder. If Favre gets 70 percent of the snaps and the Jets make the playoffs, the Packers get a second rounder. And if Favre takes 80 percent of snaps and the Jets make the Super Bowl, it becomes a first-round pick.

Favre's agent, James "Bus" Cook, confirmed the deal in a text message to The Associated Press late Wednesday, August 6th.
